House of Belamole

3D Candle Mould Design

Client

House of Belamole — a London-based luxury candle and home fragrance brand known for elegant soy candles and room mists, featured in The World of Interiors Design Report.

Challenge

House of Belamole wanted to create a custom candle mould for a minimalist pillar candle that showcased their brand logo in 3D when the candle was removed from the mould. The client needed:

  • A 3D model that translated their existing 2D logo into a three-dimensional form
  • Two different size formats for the pillar candles
  • A design that ensured the logo would protrude from the candle surface after moulding
  • A model that could be successfully 3D-printed and used for production

This project required not just aesthetic design skill, but careful technical planning to make sure the finished mould would work in real-world manufacturing.

Solution from Puffinbot

Puffinbot approached the task with precision and creativity:

3D Modelling Based on Existing Branding

  • Converted House of Belamole’s 2D logo into a 3D asset suitable for mould design
  • Designed two pillar candle variants with distinct dimensions according to client specifications

Raised Logo Integration

  • Embedded the logo into the mould geometry so that it would be raised on the final candle surface
  • Adjusted the spacing and mesh to ensure wax could fully flow and form around the logo surface

Print-Ready Engineering

  • Fine-tuned the final models for 3D printing compatibility, avoiding overhangs and unsupported elements
  • Delivered print-ready STL files that could be used directly with standard 3D printers

Additional Creative Assets

  • Provided a 3D logo asset and a 3D animation that House of Belamole could use in marketing and social media campaigns — adding storytelling power to their brand launch.

Outcome & Impact

Thanks to the bespoke design:

  • Precision-engineered moulds were ready for 3D printing without additional refinement
  • The finished candles will feature the brand logo in relief, making each piece instantly identifiable and premium in feel
  • House of Belamole gained flexible digital assets for future promos and product visuals
  • The project strengthened the brand’s product ecosystem, aligning physical objects with visual identity and storytelling

This work not only solved a highly technical problem but also gave House of Belamole a unique product presentation that supports its luxury positioning in home décor and well-being markets.

Why It Matters

Turning a 2D logo into a functional 3D mould is more than a modelling exercise — it requires technical foresight, spatial understanding, and collaboration with manufacturing workflows. This project illustrates Puffinbot’s ability to combine creative design with real-world production needs to help clients bring tangible, branded products to life.
